This self directed brief was based on 'relationships'. I decided to tackle how children are affected by the divorce of their parents. Although quite a strong topic, it is one that effects a large majority of children. My final piece is a series of three screen printed, A3 posters. These posters contain the same repeated 'REGRET, FEAR, HURT. CHANGE THIS' campaign with only the change in the illustrations of the characters.

These drawings are my first pieces of illustrative experimentation. These were based on line and point to show the different ways I could approach the project. They were inspired by Gego whose drawings and sculptures are mainly based around the use of line with little or no relevance to a particular subject. Illustrations are A5 and on paper using fine liner and pencil.

Before deciding on my final piece I experimented with various types of illustration. I did this blind drawing in preparation for making my decision. Despite working well as single pieces, I decided my final piece should be clear in communicating my message. I therefore experimented with other illustrative techniques such as line drawings for my final piece. Top two photos are A4 and bottom is A3 on paper with fine liner.
